Greetings, fellow mathematicians!

I am a professor of mathematics at a community college in the United States

and have been teaching college-level mathematics since 2008.

After completing degrees in physics and mathematics and a brief stint doing research on quantum gravity, I realized that my true passion is helping students succeed in their mathematics courses.

I believe that mathematics at all levels, from basic algebra and the calculus sequence, to higher-level mathematics is not only interesting, but also fun!

In response to the global pandemic, I created my YouTube channel, BlackTshirtMathProfessor, with full course lectures and problem solving videos as a resource to students and expand my teaching beyond the classroom.

My students came up with the name "Black T-Shirt Math Professor" because in the beginning of every class I take off my flannel to reveal a black t-shirt.
